Taco, an illustrated astronaut cat in a vintage etched style, floating with one paw raised
Principal Product Designer • 15+ Years • 2x Founder

I like the part where
it’s still a little messy.

I ask questions, find what people actually need, and turn complicated product problems into experiences teams can build and people can use.

15+ years across consumer, healthcare, enterprise, and 0 to 1 products.

Wife. Mom. Founder. White belt in jiu jitsu. Curious by default.

Available for product design, product leadership and selected fractional work.

A few problems I’ve helped untangle.

01  Optum

One shared shell.
19 enterprise healthcare properties.

Optum runs 19 customer-facing properties across two audiences, each with its own header, footer, sign-in, and information architecture.

I led the discovery and product strategy behind a shared navigation shell: a link-by-link audit of the current state, three costed directional models, and the governance that decides who can change what.

02  Northflow

What happens when the workflow itself becomes the product?

I co-founded Northflow to rethink how content teams manage production.

The work grew from customer interviews and workflow mapping into a SaaS platform, product strategy, AI assisted operations, positioning, and specialized AI agents designed to take repetitive production work off a team’s plate.

03  Subway

A one-star experience became a 4.5-star app.

I worked on a major redesign of Subway’s mobile ordering experience during a broader product transformation, helping simplify important ordering flows and create a clearer customer experience.

Before Figma

I usually ask five questions.

01

What problem are we solving?

02

Who is this for?

03

What does success look like?

04

What is the smallest version we can test?

05

What could go wrong?

Good product work startslong before the interface.

How I use AI

I use AI to shorten the distance between thinking and testing.

Not to replace product judgment. To get to something we can react to faster.

Research → patterns

Turn interview notes, feedback, and messy qualitative data into themes worth investigating.

Idea → prototype

Move from product conversation to interactive concept while the context is still fresh.

Prototype → code

Explore actual interaction behavior instead of stopping at a polished Figma frame.

Complexity → clarity

Pressure-test requirements, edge cases, flows, and documentation before they become engineering problems.

The point isn’t to make more things faster.
It’s to learn faster.

Have a complicated problem?

Those are usually the interesting ones.
